ThinkKit D14: On This Tragic Day, I Listened to My 4 Year Old

Today's prompt is to elaborate on who we listened to and why.  Being a country raised parent who is about to send his daughter into kindergarden in a city is hard enough.  But today is almost too much to bear.  When I get home from work, I always talk to my kids because I miss them.  Today, my wife is a wreck, standing in the kitchen and my daughter tells me, unprovoked (and repeating her mother), "Daddy, sometimes people do bad things and it makes mommy sad."  God damn it kid isn't that the truth.  It makes us all sad.  That is all.
