Today's challenge is to identify the wisest decision made this past year. It did not take long before I settled on it - taking ballroom dance lessons with my wife. The lessons were actually a gift that I tried to give to her a few years ago. However laziness and a busy life got the better of me. Earlier this year, I had just learned that we were going to be attending our fourth wedding when a Living Social deal was delivered to my inbox. Le Danse Ballroom, just east of Broad Ripple, had a deal for newbies and I realized the universe was telling me something. They're a little pricey, but oh well. I would recommend our instructor, Brian, should you follow my lead - pun intended!
If you don't know me, then know that I am not a dancer. I head bob at metal shows and, prior to these lessons, slow danced like I was in junior high school. So, there was plenty of room for improvement in my dancing game. And honestly, from day one, it was a really fun time. We had such a good time together when we were taking lessons and later showing off our skills. I'm not a pro by any means, but we can really mix it up with the rumba now. Finally, I can class up a joint. Most definitely, taking ballroom dancing lessons was the wisest decision I made this year.
