Screw your mall pretzel, this rocks

My daughter took me to her pretzel place yesterday afternoon.  She's a true believer in the soft pretzel and has gotten into the groove of getting one on her and her mother's weekly visit to the library across the street.  It's just a few blocks away from us, so it was nice to stretch the legs out. And while its not the first time she's taken me to Taste of Philly, I'm a classic 'homer' that feels compelled to talk about what's in his backyard.  Stop in at 42nd and College for, thankfully, a no frills experience.  While they have not yet been tempted to dramatically expand their menu, they do sell a hotdog wrapped in a pretzel, which is nothing short of amazing.  For the sweet tooth, there's a cinnamon twist pretzel that's also delicious.  They've got a cozy little store front where you can sit on a stool and watch the street. It has a friendly, entrepreneurial feel that seems to be prevalent in this city.

The "Pats" pretzel comes with boogers mashed in.  just kidding!

It's Super Bowl time in this city and everyone is rightfully joining in on the festive environment.  If you're looking for something to bring to your party this weekend, do it in style with some themed pretzels.
